In many cases, a design is not successful for reasons that are difficult to pinpoint. I would like to get your thoughts on some of those issues. I have encountered handling issues such as tracking in a following sea making the boat difficult to handle in a modest seaway where the solution was properly sizing the rudder. I have seen design lives extended and options added making the performance of the boat difficult with the available propeller diameter even if the additional horsepower is readily available.
